There are quite a few unanswered questions for me..did anyone buy the story the guys dad gave about him loaning his laptop to a guy on a bus..allowing him to use his password to his email account..then the guy on trial for the 911 attacks somehow got it..and used it..leading the FBI to Berg back a year or so ago..now suddenly he is in Iraq and the FBI questioned him again..makes you wonder about the guy..was he just that friendly to everyone and trusting as well..or did he have terrorist contacts..was he really killed as a war hostage..or was there a deeper meaning to it all..i just have mixed feelings..my comment on the video is just this..we showed pictures of princess diana dying after the car accident..why is anyone outraged over the beheading video..its horrific to me either way..somethings i think we truly dont need to actually see without knowing full well what we are going to view beforehand..i turned on my msn to pics of a guy holding a knife with headlines about a beheading..i didnt want to see that..but there it was.. I really dont feel the need to see the guys head sawed off.I get it,I know what happened.
We went into this war thinking we could free people to be like us.Well,they dont want to be like us,they want to continue to be fucking savages.
We can take away the evil leader,but making people civilized is another thing.Doing that will take generations.
And so,we set up a government in Iraq,and hope it stays pro US.I hate to say it,but ten years from now,or sooner,things will be just as bad in Iraq.

I know our primary goal was not to establish a pro US government but to dismantle a pro terrorist government and get rid of the WMD's.The establishing of a new government was an outcome of these objectives.
I call any group of people that have as great of an acceptance for using violence to solve any and all problems, savages.
Any civilized country shows restraint in the use of violence till it is absolutely necessary.To these people(Iraqis) its the first way to solve a problem or to get power.

yeah, rev, i was talking about the dwyer video.
i agree that the dude had some nuts to try and
calm the 'audience'. i remember reading a transcript
of dwyer's comments before the incident (which
makes the whole event seem determined)... and then
the guy's comments telling everyone to 'behave'
or some shit. although he didn't say 'calm down'...
he did attempt to say that they should be a bit
more diplomatic in this 'decorum' or something
like that.
i also remember reading that a few people don't
believe he actually killed himself... because
the hand, sleeve and gun didn't have traces of
blood on them... that some 'other' guy shot
him and the whole gun in the mouth was some sort
of stunt.
i laughed. i think that is so fucking stupid
to say. while it is a bit odd that the gun
n' shit didn't have blood on it (from what 'they'
say)... i don't see how anyone could make the

i do not consider them savages... which is
what my very first post on this thread was to
read. people are under the misunderstanding that
we were there to liberate them and establish
some sort of 'new' government... i really disagree.
even if that were true, you can't say that they
are uncivil for rejecting it... after all, we
too rejected it... as well as continue to reject
the 'current' state of 'democracy' here in
america.
why?
because its less than democratic...
